Overview
Sterile Processing Manager to oversee the Providence Mission Hospital Sterile Processing Departments in Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach, CA. This is a full-time position. In charge of effectively and efficiently running the entire operations of the Sterile Processing Departments, the backbone of Mission and Laguna Beach Hospital O.R. The SPD Manager plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and controls all the activities related to equipment/instrument decontamination, processing, sterilization, and quality control. This position involves foresight and determines priorities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of department service without sacrificing safety, aseptic, and infection control standards. Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo has Magnet designation (2012, 2017, 2021) and is in the process of earning a fourth designation in 2025. This designation recognizes organizations that provide the highest-quality care. Only eight percent of hospitals nationwide have achieved Magnet designation. Providence Mission – Laguna Beach Hospital is recognized by U.S. News & World Report for 18 types of care, including orthopedic and geriatric care. Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the Sterile Processing Departments across Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach locations, ensuring safe, aseptic, and infection-control standards are met. Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and control activities related to equipment/instrument decontamination, processing, sterilization, and quality control. Set priorities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of department services. Required Qualifications
Graduation from an academic or military program in Surgical Technology. 5 years of experience in hospital sterile processing as a Team Leader or Supervisor.
