The agency is seeking a full-time Marketing Coordinator to join our family of professionals in delivering exceptional services and expertise to Oklahomans. Position Marketing Coordinator Division Financial Assistance Division Section Marketing and Outreach Location of Work 3800 Classen Boulevard; Oklahoma City, OK 73118 Trial Period 12 months in accordance with (OAC) 260:130-19-30 Travel Travel is required for events, training and conferences. Position Overview: The Marketing Coordinator supports the Oklahoma Water Resources Board’s Financial Assistance Division (FAD) in developing and executing strategic communications that promote the Division’s programs, services, and community impact. The coordinator will work as part of a collaborative marketing team, handling content creation, outreach, and campaign execution to raise awareness of water infrastructure funding opportunities across Oklahoma. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, detail-oriented, and passionate about public service, with the ability to manage multiple projects and contribute creative ideas in a mission-driven environment. Typical Functions Content Development & Copywriting

Write and edit content for social media, email newsletters, outreach campaigns, press releases, and reports. Translate technical and programmatic language into accessible, engaging messaging for diverse audiences.

Social Media Coordination

Develop, schedule, and monitor content across OWRB and FAD social media platforms. Track engagement metrics and identify opportunities to grow awareness of funding programs.

Email Marketing Support

Draft and distribute email communications to communities, utilities, and stakeholders. Maintain email lists and support ongoing newsletter campaigns to ensure timely updates.

Website & Digital Content Updates

Support updates to the FAD’s webpages, including funding deadlines, resources, and project highlights. Ensure web content is accurate, accessible, and aligned with OWRB branding and messaging.

Event & Conference Promotion

Assist with planning and coordinating OWRB conference attendance. Prepare digital and print materials such as flyers, agendas, and signage.

Outreach Coordination

Support the development of outreach activities and coordinate with internal staff to promote community engagement opportunities. Support targeted outreach to communities needing additional information.

Visual Design & Materials Production

Use tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite to create graphics, fact sheets, infographics, and promotional materials. Ensure consistency in visual branding and accessibility standards.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

Monitor campaign performance and prepare monthly or quarterly reports on engagement, reach, and outcomes. Assist in compiling success stories and impact metrics for grant reporting and stakeholder communications.

Administrative & Team Support

Support logistics for marketing activities, including print orders, procurement, and file management. Collaborate with the Marketing Manager on strategic planning, brainstorming, and project execution.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required at this level include knowledge of the methods of organization and management, public administration, agency policies and procedures, grant or contract program requirements, the legislative process, basic research and statistical techniques, and federal and state laws and regulations relating to administration of assigned programs; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, communicate effectively in writing and orally, develop training programs, exercise good judgment, and organize and present facts and opinions. Education and Experience Required Level II Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor's degree and three (3) years of professional experience in business or public administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of technical administrative experience for each year of the required bachelor’s degree. One year of technical administrative experience may also be substituted for one year only of the required experience. Technical administrative experience would include highly complex clerical work gained under the direct supervision of a professional supervisor or manager.
