Warp
Overview
Warp is a product-driven company building the future of automated back-office operations. We’re looking for a
Product Designer
who wants to shape the end-to-end experience of our platform—turning complex workflows (multi-state taxation rules and real-world payroll edge cases like wage garnishments) into intuitive, high-trust UIs.
Responsibilities
Core Product UX: Own critical payroll and compliance flows, from onboarding to approvals and filings, with an emphasis on clarity, error-prevention, and trust. (Examples include multi-state withholding setup and notice resolution.)
Design System: Define and evolve component libraries, design tokens, and documentation to ensure accessible, consistent patterns across the platform.
Prototyping & Validation: Use Figma and code-adjacent tools to rapidly prototype and user-test new concepts; iterate based on signal from analytics and research.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers to translate policy and regulatory constraints into elegant, guided interfaces. (E.g., reciprocity, nexus, and courtesy withholding considerations)
Growth Surfaces: Design high-converting landing pages, lifecycle emails, and ads that communicate Warp’s differentiated automation credibly.
Quality Bar: Establish review rituals and visual regression checklists to safeguard accuracy in sensitive areas like deductions and garnishments.
Qualifications
2+ years of product design experience
Strong expertise in product design software (pref. Figma)
Startup or digital agency experience as a founder, early designer, or design roles preferred
An understanding of B2B/Fintech product user experience
Excellent communication skills
High agency and the ability to figure things out
Compensation On Target Earnings (OTE): $140,000–$230,000 • Equity: 0.15%–0.25%
