Position Description
The Athletic Television Producer I (Television Production Assistant) will serve as the primary liaison with ESPN/ACC Network staff to manage the appearance and implementation of the University of Louisville’s Live Digital Productions for the network. This position is responsible for overseeing project management from start to finish, as well as ensuring quality control for live events as it relates to Ad Serve/Break Clock broadcasts. Additionally, the Television Production Assistant will plan and execute creative storytelling for live productions, which includes conducting production meetings with staff and on-air talent to ensure preparation and quality control for broadcasts. Minimum Requirements
Associate’s Degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability and willingness to work an extensive night, weekend and holiday work schedule for sports event coverage and television production. Produce Remote Broadcast for ACC Network Extra as well as In-House Big Screen Productions. Oversee all Institutional Pass-through Broadcast for ACC Network Extra. Serve on a live remote production crew in other capacities beyond Producer as needed, including Camera Operator, Audio Operator, Graphics Operator, Replay Operator, and Technical Director. Maintain the most up-to-date software and service deployments of all ACC Network Software requirements. Provide direction and training to student(s) and contract employee(s) in various elements of production, including prepping elements for game, event, edit, or shoot, and executing content delivery. Work in conjunction with production staff and team to provide creative input on more efficient approaches to projects. Handle pre-production work for assigned broadcast/webcast. Additional Qualifications
Comprehensive and authoritative knowledge of Ross & Evertz Production Equipment (i.e. Xpression/Carbonite Blackstorm/Tria/Dreamcatcher). Preferred Qualifications
Three (3) years of experience with professional live remote production. Two (2) years of experience with SEC and/or ACC Network Workflow. Understanding of Evertz Routing and Dante Audio as well as RTS Intercom workflows. Experience editing on Non-Linear Edit Work Stations such as Adobe Premiere. Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects). Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel spreadsheets. Knowledge of NCAA and ACC rules and regulations.
