Pandiscio Green
Overview
We are seeking a highly conceptual, astutely focused, and culturally curious Art Director to join our team. This is a flexible, hybrid role (based either in Brooklyn, NY or Palo Alto, CA) ideal for someone who moves fluidly between design creation and creative leadership. About Us
Established in 1997, Pandiscio Green is a full-service, multi-disciplinary design studio specializing in brand creation, strategy, graphic design, and creative direction. We partner with clients across luxury real estate, hospitality, and arts and culture. Together with our clients, we develop ideas, craft narratives, and shape strategies into meaningful and aspirational brands with presence, precision, and soul. The Role
The art director will preserve our studio’s reputation and integrity while helping shape the visual language of our current and upcoming portfolio projects. From brand strategy and visual identity to digital application and campaign development, design of decks, books, packaging, and environments, the art director will own their work and collaborate directly with the studio’s creative directors, vendors, and clients. This is a role that combines strategic brand campaigns, typography and logo work, and content planning with hands-on design execution. Responsibilities
Lead concept development, visual exploration, and execution across multiple projects with energy, enthusiasm, and focus. Translate and evolve strategic direction into stunning, intelligent design systems with a clear point of view. Create brands that live beyond the logo. Build and position iconic brands with complete visual identity systems, strong art direction, and cohesive style. Craft compelling and concise presentations that are provocative and visually engaging. Guide designers with a calm, clear, and collaborative spirit. Liaise with clients and collaborators (developers, hospitality groups, architects, photographers, etc.) to ensure excellence from concept to execution. Lead design production across digital, print, signage, and environments with high-quality execution. Manage project scope, deliverables, schedules, and delivery dates to meet contracts. Maintain curiosity and passion for culture, design, and branding to keep the portfolio unique and timeless. Who You Are / Qualifications
5–8 years of experience at top-tier studios or in-house creative teams with luxury, hospitality, lifestyle, or culture clients. Refined visual sensibility and elevated typographic instincts. Confident presenting and defending ideas in front of clients with patience, personality, and humility. Ability to think three steps ahead and push design while staying on schedule. Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Figma. Experimental and interested in both tactile design (hand sketching, printmaking, texture making) and motion design (kinetic animation, logo animation, moving imagery). Intermediate animation and video editing capabilities in After Effects & Premiere. Excitement and working knowledge of Gen AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Visual Electric, Synthesia, Sora). Adept at building a deck as well as creating physical design assets (e.g., hotel keycards) and laying out pages on a Baseline Grid. Advanced knowledge of print production and digital design — UX/UI best practices. Thoughtful, humble, and earnest—seeking beauty, clarity, and impact in all work. Bonus Points
Experience with motion design or creative direction for photo/video. Familiarity with the residential real estate development and/or hospitality sectors. A deep appreciation for language, writing, naming, and editorial storytelling. Working knowledge in architectural software (AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp). Fluency in visual platforms such as Cosmos, Savee, Hypra Studio, Death To Stock, etc. What We Offer
Hybrid flexibility with a home base in our NYC studio. Paid time off and studio-wide breaks. Health, dental, and vision insurance. Mentorship, growth, and a supportive team environment. Opportunities to travel domestically and internationally for projects and industry events. A chance to help shape a studio defining what’s next in luxury, design, and brand. How to Apply
