Department: OPS | Hospitality Patient Ambassadors

Summary of Job Duties: The Patient Ambassador, reporting to the Supervisor of Hospitality Services, provides staffing for family hospitality services including information desks, ICU waiting, NICU, PRI, PACU, cart drivers, discharge lobby, outside greeters, surgery desk, and Cancer Institute after-hours desk.

Qualifications:

High School diploma/GED.

One year experience in support/hospitality and customer service in a hospital setting.

Ability to work during inclement weather.

Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

Greet patients/families with a positive manner, providing directions and assistance.

Staff information desks and assist with patient guidance.

Work with nursing staff to enforce visitation policies.

Drive courtesy carts and assist patients with arrival and departure.

Recognize and assist patients and visitors in need.

Monitor and maintain waiting areas.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

Frequent standing, sitting, walking, touching, talking, hearing, and reading.

Occasional bending, crawling, crouching, kneeling, reaching, lifting (up to 10 lbs), and pushing/pulling.

Inside medical environment with moderate noise and visual requirements.

Salary:

Commensurate with education and experience.
