Summary of Job Duties: The Patient Ambassador reports to the Supervisor of Hospitality Services and provides staffing for various hospitality services, including staffing of information desks, ICU waiting rooms, NICU desk, and others. The role involves assisting patients and visitors, guiding them, and ensuring smooth operations.
Qualifications:
High School diploma/GED
One year of support/hospitality and customer service experience in a hospital setting
Ability to work during inclement weather
Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients and families
Staff information desks and assist in ICU visitation policies
Drive courtesy cart and assist with patient arrivals and departures
Recognize and assist patients and visitors in need
Monitor visitor areas and complete other duties as assigned
Additional Information:
Physical activity levels: Frequently to occasionally
Physical environment: Inside medical facility
Noise level: Moderate
Visual requirements: Color discrimination, depth perception, far and near visual acuity
