Position Summary
The duties of a
Psychiatrist
are to provide psychiatric diagnostic and therapeutic care to patients with mental, emotional and behavioral disorders and substance use disorders. The Psychiatrist shall provide direction for inpatient and/or outpatient Psychiatric Units. The Psychiatrist shall provide senior back-up coverage and weekend coverage as assigned by the Hospital’s Medical Director and/or CEO/Managing Director. Administer administrative services as enumerated and carry an appropriate inpatient and/or outpatient case load as assigned. The Psychiatrist will attend 75% of physician meetings and 75% of Medical Executive (MedExec) meetings. Benefits include

Education : Graduate of an accredited medical school; completed residency in psychiatry; board certification required. Experience : Experienced in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, with well-developed skills in integrating individual treatment approaches into the treatment milieu and good working relationships with other attending physicians and staff. Licensure : Valid and current license to practice medicine in the State of NJ; current narcotics numbers as issued by the State of NJ and US DEA. Additional Requirements : Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
