Overview
A reputable CPA firm in Irvine is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to independently manage payroll processing for their employees. This is a MOSTLY remote, PART-TIME role (10-15 hours per week) with flexible hours each week. The ideal candidate must have proficiency in Paycor and experience with multi-state payroll.
MUST BE A LOCAL Southern CA resident.
Key Responsibilities
Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis for hourly employees and semi-monthly for salaried employees.
Accurately handle payroll for employees across California, with additional employees in Washington, Arizona, and Colorado.
Manage payroll adjustments, including reimbursements and deductions for CPE.
Ensure compliance with state-specific payroll taxes and regulations.
Collaborate with the Director of HR/Firm Administration to address payroll-related inquiries or issues.
Generate payroll reports and maintain accurate payroll records.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Paycor is required.
Experience with multi-state payroll processing (CA required; WA, AZ, and CO are a plus).
Strong understanding of payroll compliance, tax codes, and regulations.
Ability to work independently and manage the entire payroll process reliably.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise professionally with the HR team.
Availability for 10-15 hours per week in a MOSTLY remote capacity.
Additional Details Pay range: $30-40 p/h
