Social Media Specialist – Music & Entertainment
Our client, a leading music rights management and licensing organization, is seeking a
Social Media Specialist
to join their Corporate Communications team on a 3–4 month assignment (covering a leave of absence). Based out of their downtown NYC offices, this hybrid role offers the chance to work at the intersection of music, media, and storytelling.
Schedule & Details
Schedule: 3 days onsite (preferred Mon–Wed) + 2 days remote
Pay Rate: ~$40-50/hr (depending on experience)
Duration: 3–4 months (potential to extend or convert if openings arise)
Travel: Occasional travel to Los Angeles, Nashville, Chicago
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Execute and manage daily social media posts aligned with the content calendar.
Monitor and engage community interactions, escalating as needed.
Support social media coverage for major music events and activations (SXSW, Lollapalooza, and more).
Collaborate with the Social Media Manager on content strategy and execution.
Lead content ideation and creation across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Facebook).
Analyze performance, monitor trends, and bring fresh, creative ideas to campaigns.
Ideal Profile
~5 years of hands-on social media experience (or strong project portfolio).
Music, entertainment, or related industry background is highly preferred (essentially required).
Skilled in content creation, campaign management, and community engagement across multiple platforms.
Strong initiative, creativity, and ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
