Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, Technical and Professional Communication Working Title: Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, Technical and Professional Communication Duties and Responsibilities
Teach across graduate, undergraduate, and general education offerings. Traditional teaching load is 3-3 with potential college- and university-level grants to support scholarship. Bring innovative approaches to environmental rhetorics and rhetorics of science and technology. Potential areas may include AI/LLMs and emerging technologies, risk/crisis communication, and legal/regulatory writing. Collaborate within the School of Writing, Rhetoric and Technical Communication and across the College of Arts and Letters. Qualifications
A Ph.D. in technical or professional communication or a closely related field is required by time of appointment. Late assistant professors are encouraged to apply. Application Information
