Overview

EMC seeks a Community Involvement Manager to shape and advance EMC’s community involvement and charitable giving strategy in alignment with our mission and values. The role requires experience in nonprofit relations, grantmaking, event management, community sponsorships/advertising, team member volunteerism/engagement, and public relations. The leader collaborates across departments, manages a high-performing team, and ensures programs are executed with excellence and effectiveness. Responsibilities

Lead and advance EMC’s corporate community involvement and charitable giving strategies. Serve as a strategic advisor for Foundation operations, ensuring alignment with organizational mission and values. Review donation/grant requests and discuss requests with the CEO or Foundation Board, providing recommendations for decision-making. Recommend nonprofit partnerships and funding opportunities to maximize community impact. Plan and organize Foundation Board Meetings, including board books and reports. Partner with EMC senior leadership and the EMC Insurance Foundation Board to develop and implement a comprehensive charitable giving program, including both corporate and Foundation donations. Oversee EMC\'s community events/sponsorships selection, execution, and promotion to maximize exposure and brand awareness across corporate and branch locations. Create internal and external communications to raise awareness of EMC’s community involvement and generate publicity. Develop initiatives that promote team member volunteerism and engagement; oversee and manage programs and drive participation improvements. Establish metrics to assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements. Foster relationships with nonprofit organizations, community groups, and internal stakeholders; liaison with key community groups on community efforts. Represent EMC at community events and external partnerships to enhance brand reputation. Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate community involvement with marketing and organizational priorities; serve as a company spokesperson on community involvement topics. Oversee communication efforts that highlight EMC’s philanthropic efforts and outcomes using best practices in corporate philanthropy and community engagement. Supervise the Community Involvement team within Marcom and perform duties expected of a people leader. Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, business, marketing, public relations, journalism or related field Ten years of experience in corporate philanthropy, nonprofit operations, community/public relations, marketing, or corporate communications Prior leadership experience Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Advanced knowledge of corporate philanthropy and community involvement strategies Advanced ability to assess nonprofit programs and manage grantmaking processes Excellent knowledge of volunteer program planning and execution Excellent data gathering, reporting, and program measurement skills Strong ability to lead project teams, collaborate across departments and with external partners, multi-task, and meet deadlines Familiarity with Blackbaud or similar software for tracking and reporting Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, Adobe Suite, and publishing software Excellent ability to build strong working relationships to achieve shared goals, drive results, and think creatively about solutions Excellent organizational and project management, follow-through skills Excellent written communication skills for electronic and print media Local driving required; valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle report per company standards if driving Ability to work evening and weekend hours occasionally in support of community events Salary & Employment Details

The hiring salary range for this position varies by location and typically falls within the ranges: $101,677–$145,733 or $112,094–$169,670. The actual salary depends on factors including education, skills, experience, geographic location, and business needs.
