This pivotal leadership role supports Walmart U.S.’s growth strategy by leading integrated communications across the company’s Growth Organization—a cross-functional team focused on redefining retail through digital innovation, data monetization, performance marketing, and membership engagement. The organization includes Walmart Connect, Walmart+, Data Ventures, and U.S. Marketing. As the Group Director of Communications, Growth Organization, you’ll lead a team that builds breakthrough narratives, strengthens executive visibility, and drives earned media strategies that reflect how Walmart is transforming from a traditional retailer into a digital-first ecosystem. As the lead communications partner for the Growth Organization, you’ll define and deliver communications that shape Walmart’s perception among customers, media, stakeholders, and associates—grounded in innovation, relevance, and data. Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team of communications professionals who support growth business verticals and initiatives. Drive engagement, excellence, and development across the team. Executive Communications: Serve as a trusted counselor to senior leaders of the Growth Organization. Shape thought leadership, speaking engagements, interviews, and strategic messaging for Walmart Connect, Walmart+, Data Ventures, and Marketing leaders. Strategic Communications Planning: Design and execute integrated communications strategies that span media relations, stakeholder engagement, internal comms, and social/digital storytelling—aligned with business goals and external moments. Narrative Development & Storytelling: Translate complex business, tech, and data topics into compelling stories. Proactively identify opportunities to tell Walmart’s growth story through innovation, membership, data and media. Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with national, trade, tech and new media. Lead earned media strategies for announcements, launches, and brand initiatives across growth. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across Walmart, including Corporate Affairs, Tech, Merchandising, and Finance, to ensure message consistency and business alignment. Agency and Budget Management: Manage external PR agencies, including budgeting, contracting, and performance tracking. Ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable campaigns. Insights and Measurement: Use data, market insights, and media monitoring to evaluate impact, refine messaging, and optimize communications plans. GenAI Super User: Utilize technology tools including GenAI to ensure you and your team operate effectively and efficiently. You’ll Make a Positive Impact By
