Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a dedicated and experienced Network Communications to support the Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) program. This role is crucial for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting the network connectivity and infrastructure of the Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN), which supports enterprise-wide modeling and simulation applications for warfighter readiness. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical troubleshooting skills, deep knowledge of Cisco internetworking, and experience working in a secure, DoD-compliant environment. What You Will Do

Maintains smooth operation of local area, world wide and virtual private networks (VPN). Plans, evaluates, and coordinates installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. May propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings. Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions. Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems. May coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment. May design network or portion of network that include selection of hardware and software packages. What You Must Have

Bachelors and 2-10 years+ Masters and 0 – 8 years+ HighSchool and 6-14 years+ Candidate must have familiarity with Windows 10 Secure Host Baseline (SHB) Candidate must have experience with Cisco switches and troubleshooting methods Candidate must have experience installing and supporting LAN/WAN equipment and circuits Candidate must have hands-on experience with Cisco ASA firewalls and ACLs Candidate must have a strong grasp of STIG implementation and DoD cybersecurity requirements Candidate must have knowledge of VMware virtualization Candidate must have experience using performance monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds) Candidate must have excellent documentation and troubleshooting skills Candidate must have strong communication skills and customer focus Candidate must have the ability to manage multiple work priorities effectively Candidate must have a Security+ (DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant) or equivalent (required) Candidate must be a U.S. citizen Candidate must hold a current or active DoD Secret clearance and maintain clearance throughout employment.
