Mission Technologies is seeking a Network Control Technician to support the Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN) as part of the Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE). The technician will work closely with internal teams to configure, monitor, and maintain systems and network assets, apply regular patches, and ensure full compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Responsibilities

Maintain smooth operation of LAN, WAN, and VPN systems Install, configure, and secure Microsoft Windows-based clients and servers Plan and coordinate installation or reconfiguration of network hardware and software Administer routers, switches, firewalls, bridges, multiplexers, and gateways Implement STIGs and cybersecurity best practices across all systems Use enterprise patching systems to apply updates and maintain compliance Create and maintain network documentation, including procedures and system configurations Monitor performance and plan for future system capacity and network growth Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues across enterprise systems Coordinate maintenance schedules and third-party support as needed Requirements

Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree in related field (no experience required), OR High school diploma/equivalent and 6+ years of relevant experience Technical Skills Familiarity with Windows 10 Secure Host Baseline (SHB) Experience with Cisco switches and troubleshooting methods Experience installing and supporting LAN/WAN equipment and circuits Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA firewalls and ACLs Strong grasp of STIG implementation and DoD cybersecurity requirements Knowledge of VMware virtualization Experience using performance monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds) Excellent documentation and troubleshooting skills Strong communication skills and customer focus Ability to manage multiple work priorities effectively Certification & Clearance Requirements Security+ (DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant) or equivalent (required) Must be a U.S. citizen Must hold a current or active DoD Secret clearance and maintain clearance throughout employment. Preferred Requirements
