Principal Specialist, Contracts (Onsite) at Raytheon. Location: Tucson, AZ. Onsite role. US citizenship or immigration status enabling a security clearance required. DoD Clearance: Secret. Role description focuses on providing contracts support to the ESSM Launcher Team and External Customers, with potential involvement in classified contracting activities. The team comprises 3-5 contract professionals supporting the ESSM portfolio within the Naval Power SBU and SSBU. Responsibilities To Anticipate
Utilize understanding of IDIQ Contracting, Cost Type Contracting, and Fixed Price Contracting. Support the ESSM Launcher team by reviewing and executing contractual documents within delegation limits. Interpret existing contract documents to answer Program Manager and cross-functional questions and complete contracting taskings. Review Requests for Proposals to determine applicability against current or prior agreements, scope requirements, and production impacts. Interpret company proposal data to assess risks and opportunities; develop submittal packages; submit proposals to external customers; respond to customer questions related to proposals with program team input; negotiate price where applicable with support from Contracts Leadership. Investigate and resolve contractual matters by applying critical thinking, gathering detailed information, and collaborating with relevant stakeholders using innovative contracting approaches. Partner with Raytheon Global Trade to ensure import/export compliance within the contractual framework. Some travel, both domestic and international, is anticipated. Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years’ experience. Experience administering US Government contracts, FAR and/or DFARS. Experience in proposals and/or contracts negotiations. Qualifications We Prefer
Excellent communication and leadership to establish and maintain relationships with complex internal and/or direct customers. Experience in Commercial and/or International Contracting. Ability to work within a complex production team with minimal oversight and within a team environment built on respect and trust. Excellent time management and organizational skills; business acumen with financial understanding of the business. What We Offer
