Position Summary The
Certified Kitchen Designer / Interior Designer
will lead high-end residential kitchen and bath projects from concept to completion. This role is ideal for a creative professional with a strong eye for detail, technical fluency, and a refined design sensibility rooted in both luxury and livability. The right candidate is passionate about translating client vision into artful, functional design, thrives in a collaborative environment, and brings deep knowledge of kitchen and bath space planning, cabinetry, and materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Client Collaboration & Creative Vision
Lead client consultations to define needs, lifestyle goals, investment level, and aesthetic preferences Translate vision into working drawings, photorealistic renderings, and product specifications Present thoughtful, client-driven design concepts, floor plans, and material/finish palettes aligned with the Blush aesthetic Educate clients on materials, appliances, finishes, and best practices
Technical Design & Documentation
Create detailed kitchen layouts, demo plans, and installation plans for contractors and trades using AutoCAD and/or Revit Draft full construction drawing sets, including electrical/lighting plans, cabinetry elevations, floor plans, & 3D renderings Prepare appliance specs, plumbing schedules, and tile layouts to ensure design cohesion and clarity Specify cabinetry, countertops, hardware, fixtures, and finishes with precision
Project Pricing & Vendor Coordination
Generate detailed pricing proposals and scope-of-work documentation for client approval Place and track factory cabinetry orders; confirm acknowledgments and manage lead times Work closely with cabinetry manufacturers, stone fabricators, and appliance suppliers to maintain accuracy and delivery schedules
Project Oversight & Site Coordination
Manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple projects\ Collaborate with general contractors, installers, architects, vendors, and field teams to ensure smooth execution Attend job-site walk-throughs and provide design clarification or revisions as needed Coordinate installation phasing, confirm critical dimensions, and resolve issues in real time
Code Compliance & Industry Standards
Maintain general knowledge of U.S. and Colorado building codes and industry best practices Ensure all design solutions comply with local regulations, safety standards, and permit requirements Stay current with NKBA guidelines, ADA compliance (as applicable), and sustainability practices
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and rendering tools (e.g. Enscape, Lumion) Familiarity with cabinetry construction methods, joinery, and millwork terminology Strong understanding of residential construction methods, trades, and timelines Exceptional project management, documentation, and communication skills Must have own vehicle for site visits and project meetings Education & Experience
Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) designation (or in progress) Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field Minimum 5 years of experience in high-end residential kitchen and bath design Experience working with manufacturers on custom cabinetry orders and acknowledgments
