This position is responsible for departmental support functions in the recovery and remarketing of commercial accounts. Supports the Director of Special Assets in the purchase of new assets, logistics, and overall departmental process improvement. Job Duties Liquidate assets within company guidelines. Initiate and coordinate the recovery of all commercial and consumer accounts as assigned by VP of Operations or Chief Operating Officer (COO). Verify that all vendors/suppliers have a signed Terms of Service contract consistent with the Company’s Contract Legal Review & Approval Policy, including approval through our Legal department and by the ULI President, prior to utilizing their services. This position does not have contract signing authority. Engage and maintain priority communication with all recovery agents. Engage and maintain effective relationships with a variety of transportation companies. Partner with the Director of Asset Management to evaluate the assets prior to recovery. Confirm the evaluation when we receive the condition report. Negotiate all reconditioning, storage, and repair estimates for recovered assets. Ensure that the repossession log has all the needed information, including but not limited to equipment/ vehicle location, mileage, condition report, personal guarantors, original asset cost, net book value, principal, and including all known fees, such as legal, repossession, reconditioning, transportation, etc. Ensure the Unsecured Asset Log stays current and is updated at least weekly, or on demand as requested. Assign equipment/vehicles as designated by the Director of Asset Management to dedicated remarketing companies. Ensure that all assigned equipment/vehicles have contractual approval by ULI President. Create and maintain a database of all recovery, remarketing and transportation vendors. Notify Director of Asset Management of any aged assets and associated plans of action. Administrative Identify and purchase all PTI new lease assets in conformance with specifications provided by Executive Chairman or EVP, Administration. Update off-lease inventory spreadsheet daily (e.g. add post-sale offers on non-sold vehicles). Complete paperwork that is associated with the pick-up and sale of vehicles. Utilize internal/external software to promote a paperless environment, where possible. Coordinate asset and account information with internal departments. General Ensure prompt and regular attendance. Perform other appropriate duties as may be assigned by Management. Travel as business needs may require. Continuous Improvement Partner with the Director of Asset Management to identify inefficiencies within department processes and recommend solutions to improve department optimization. Personally commit to quality in all aspects of work. Provide “World Class Customer Service” for internal and external customers. Participate in and promote the established Quality Improvement Process (QIP) for continuous improvement. Participate on teams to research, measure, and correct problems and to strive for process improvement. Communicate and exemplify the Company’s Mission Statement, Vision Statement, Values, and Philosophy. Attend at least ten (10) credit hours of training annually to continue development of work-related skills. Assist in the development, organization and updating of departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Policies & Procedures (P&P’s). Education High school diploma is minimally required. Associate-level college degree or equivalent of 2+ years relatable work experience is minimally required.
