THE OPPORTUNITY Responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of primarily private clients. Performs all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
How You’ll Make a Difference
Develops and manages a portfolio of privately-held business clients, ranging from complex credits to deposit-only relationships. Acts as lead negotiator with prospects and clients.
Grows revenue by prospecting for new business and retaining and expanding existing client relationships via interest income, fee income, and cash management revenue.
Provides financial advice to clients and identifies and sells appropriate bank products and services.
Builds strong relationships with referral sources and centers of influence.
Structures and underwrites credits jointly with Loan Portfolio Managers.
Processes account activity, determines balances, and resolves problems within authority.
Answers questions from clients and staff and directs callers to proper personnel when necessary.
Assumes responsibility for department functions in the absence of staff or in overload situations.
Upholds ethical standards and promotes a diverse and inclusive workplace; follows EEO policies and treats others with respect.
Follows policies and procedures; completes tasks accurately and on time; supports company goals and values.
Performs duties safely and reports potentially unsafe conditions in accordance with OSHA requirements.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of twelve years’ experience in sales or relationship management.
Experience in commercial lending and related portfolio products preferred.
Advanced computer skills, including terminal and PC operation; familiarity with mainframe, word processing, spreadsheets, and related software.
Intermediate knowledge of state and federal banking regulations governing lending (e.g., fair lending, privacy, RESPA) and company policies and services.
Intermediate math skills and ability to process financial calculations and analyze data.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication skills; ability to interpret documents and convey information clearly to customers and colleagues.
Ability to make decisions impacting the immediate work unit and to organize and prioritize work.
Ability to handle complex problems and work with limited supervision.
