Provide leadership to enhance teaching and learning through the integration of effective digital learning environments and through media center programming. Qualifications/Skills: Master's degree required. English as a Second Language certification, preferred. Valid Texas teacher certificate or teaching certificate from out of state appropriate for position. Other technology training certificates preferred such as Google, Promethean, Canvas, and Microsoft 365. Certification must meet requirements for becoming and remaining qualified for this position in a manner required by Federal and/or State law. Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to support educational technology, online learning, and media center programming to achieve the district’s mission, vision, and goals. Ability to plan a comprehensive and integrated professional development program for digital resources and media centers which supports the direction of the district. Ability to support implementation of policy, procedures, and data analysis. Ability to work with the digital resource department staff and media center assistants using coaching techniques to support teaching and learning. Knowledge of instructional technology uses to transform instructional practices. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience: At least five (5) years of successful teaching experience. Campus or district leadership experience, preferred. Experience and proficiency with District educational technology resources. Experience in the development of content in a learning management system. Experience integrating information and digital literacy into instruction.

Major Duties and Responsibilities: Program Management: Utilize multiple data sources and continuous quality improvement efforts to drive program area decisions and support. Provide leadership and support to the online learning and media center programs to support curriculum and instruction. Participate in and support cross-functional teams for needs assessment, decision-making, technology support, professional development and other aspects of department programs. Assist the Director with the improvement of online learning and media center programing through regular cycles of observation, feedback, demonstration, and staff training. Utilize multiple data sources and continuous quality improvement efforts to drive program area decisions and support related to curriculum and instruction. Assist the Director with implementing a process for evaluating, selecting, and adjusting instructional resources and curriculum guides to support implementation of the Technology Applications TEKS and Library Standards. Assist the Director with the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of pre-service and in-service training programs for digital resources and media personnel. Manage partnerships with department professional learning providers that result in high-quality training for teachers and staff. District Support: Work collaboratively with content teams to create interactive, student-facing learning opportunities. Collaborate with Technology Services to support various strategic projects and digital resource management on campuses. Serve as a district liaison for professional learning & development needs. Facilitate training and support for the district professional learning management platform (KickUp). Generate and maintain accurate reports for district professional learning offerings. Professional Learning: Ensure accurate record keeping for all department professional learning courses and offerings. Lead the development and continual refinement of professional learning courses and offerings. Assist and support the Director with the recruitment, coaching, and retention of department professional learning presenters/trainers. Develop and maintain Professional Learning Networks (PLNs) staying abreast of current trends in educational technology and online teaching & learning. Participate in appropriate conferences and staff development sessions for improved job performance. Maintain active involvement in local, state and national professional organizations. Communication and Community Relations: Communicate district curriculum, instructional practices, district accomplishments, and goals to all stakeholders. Actively seek and utilize evaluative feedback with appropriate administrative staff, subordinates and immediate supervisor regarding job performance. Establish and maintain an environment which is conducive to positive staff morale and directed towards achievement of the district’s mission, values, and goals. Project a positive image to the community. Budget, Supervision and Legal: Train, support, supervise, and evaluate personnel under the direction of the Director of Digital Resources and Media Center Support. Manage and direct the department’s annual budget in a fiscally responsible manner that supports the initiatives, priorities and goals of the department, division, and district. Review and propose policies and procedures related to the educational technology, online learning and media center programs. Other: Oversee minor troubleshooting of computer equipment as it relates to participation department programming. Maintain appropriate level of technology competence to meet current and future needs of district. Perform all duties with honesty and integrity. Perform other duties as assigned. Working Conditions

Physical Demands: Repetitive hand motions. Prolonged use of the computer. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing. Work in multiple locations throughout the District on-site.
