PURPOSE
This position is responsible for analyzing needs, as well as designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating a variety of instructional support for digital learning. This position will also work closely with the Instructional Design and Educational Technology Team to support instructors in creating effective learning experiences in digital environments. DESCRIPTION
Functional Area 1: Faculty & Student Support
Percent Effort: 75% Provides faculty training and guidance on implementing quality assurance (Quality Matters) and compliance standards (regular & substantive interaction, accessibility, etc) for designing and developing courses for digital teaching and learning. Supports curation and development of training resources and awareness of available instructional technology for delivering digital instruction. Provides training and guidance for faculty on employing the effective integration of technology for enhancing digital teaching and learning. Functional Area 2: Operations & Research
Percent Effort: 15% Supports the ID Team in creating effective communication plans (newsletters, yearly calendar, website, etc), faculty professional development activities, and quality assurance proposals, and researching emerging instructional design trends. Supports the ID Team in the building and maintenance of tracking documents that serve as a comprehensive and growing record of accomplishments of instructors relative to quality assurance. Assists the Educational Technology team in resolving technical support tickets related to technologies that support the delivery of instruction. Functional Area 3: Other
Percent Effort: 10% Provides student support by facilitating orientations or in-class activities as requested. Provides awareness of campus resources and services available to support TAMU-CC students. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in applicable field. Two years of related experience in instructional design. Additional education can be used a substitution for the minimum education/experience requirement. Master's Degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, or Instructional Technology. Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of online course design principles and practices. Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and instructional technologies. SALARY $60,721.56 Annually Approximately (Salary dependent upon education and experience. $5,060.13 Monthly BENEFITS
