Overview
Community Grounds Manager at Lake Lawn Resort. The Community Grounds Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, development, and overall management of residential properties and off-site housing within the Delavan Lake Lawn Management portfolio. This role ensures all residential grounds meet the resort’s high standards for aesthetics, safety, and functionality, while supporting home development projects and maintaining strong relationships with homeowners and residents. The Community Grounds Manager serves as a key liaison between property development teams, resort operations, contractors, and residents, ensuring a seamless residential living experience. Responsibilities
Oversee maintenance and landscaping of all residential properties, off-site housing, and surrounding grounds. Develop and implement seasonal maintenance schedules and long-term grounds plans. Ensure grounds meet safety, accessibility, and aesthetic standards. Supervise grounds staff and coordinate work assignments to maximize efficiency and quality, including but not limited to turf care, landscaping, planting, tree and shrub maintenance, irrigation, weed and pest control, snow removal, hardscape upkeep, seasonal cleanups, and safe equipment operation. Support new home development projects, including site preparation, landscaping, and coordination with contractors. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Collaborate with property development teams to ensure seamless integration of residential homes with resort standards. Serve as primary point of contact for homeowners and residents regarding grounds and property concerns. Respond promptly to inquiries, complaints, or service requests, providing professional and courteous support. Communicate proactively regarding planned projects, maintenance, or changes affecting residential areas. Oversee and coordinate third-party vendors, landscaping companies, and service contractors. Ensure contracts and services are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Evaluate vendor performance and recommend improvements or changes as needed. Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, projects, budgets, and property inspections. Prepare reports for leadership on grounds conditions, project progress, and resident feedback. Assist with budgeting and resource planning for residential grounds operations. Coordinate with Director of HOA on homeowner requests, billable landscaping charges, etc. Ensure all grounds and residential operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain safety protocols for staff, residents, and visitors. Conduct regular inspections and proactively address safety or maintenance issues. Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in grounds management, property management, or related fields. Experience with residential and resort properties and/or HOA communities. Strong knowledge of landscaping, horticulture, and maintenance practices. Valid state license or certification for the application of fertilizers and pesticides is a plus. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with residents, staff, and contractors. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Proficiency with basic computer applications, scheduling, and record-keeping. Valid Driver's License The position is outdoors and may be exposed to wet, hot, humid, and/or cold conditions. The noise level is usually moderate to loud. The staff member will spend a majority of time on their feet.
