Otolaryngologist
to join our team. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Otolaryngologist coordinates a course of treatment for patients with a variety of medical and surgical needs related to treatment of the ear, nose or throat including malignant disease of the head and neck areas while working with an inter-disciplinary team of nurses, physician assistants, dieticians, surgeons, pathologists and pharmacists. The Otolaryngologist will act as an expert in Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery disease management and prevention. Responsibilities
Coordinate treatment for patients with medical and surgical needs of the ear, nose, or throat; include malignant disease of the head and neck. Work with an inter-disciplinary team to manage patient care and prevention in Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery. Required Skills
Demonstrated expertise in Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgical diagnoses: assessment, intervention, and patient care management. Knowledgeable regarding an Otolaryngologist scope of practice. Experience performing and interpreting laryngology findings, nasal endoscopy findings, CT/MRI, US of the head and neck, and pathology results. Demonstrated experience with laryngology, nasal endoscopy, minor otolaryngology procedures (e.g., in-office biopsies preferred). Preferred training in Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery. Ability to consult for ear, nose or throat as well as related head and neck areas. Fellow or certification from the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Excellent customer service skills; strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal, and conflict resolution abilities. Independent performer. Education/Experience/Training
Current California Medical license Graduate from an accredited Medical School Graduate from an accredited Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgical Residency program Evidence of continuing education and self-development to support license requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible from the American Board of Otolaryngology (ABOto) EOE M/F/D/V Address: 1225 Wilshire Boulevard
