Position Summary The Otolaryngologist coordinates a course of treatment for patients with a variety of medical and surgical needs related to treatment of the ear, nose or throat including malignant disease of the head and neck areas while working with an inter‑disciplinary team of nurses, physician assistants, dieticians, surgeons, pathologists and pharmacists. The Otolaryngologist will act as an expert in Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery disease management and prevention.

Required Skills

Demonstrated expertise in Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgical diagnoses: assessment, intervention, and patient care management. Knowledgeable regarding an Otolaryngologist scope of practice.

Experience performing and interpreting laryngology findings, nasal endoscopy finding, CT/MRI, US of the head and neck, pathology results.

Demonstrated experience with laryngology, nasal endoscopy, minor otolaryngology procedures (e.g., in office biopsies preferred.

Preferred training in Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery.

Ability to consult for ear, nose or throat as well as the related head and neck areas

Fellow or certification from the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

Demonstrated leadership abilities.

Excellent customer service skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal and conflict resolution abilities.

Independent performer.

Work Experience

Current California Medical license

Graduate from an accredited Medical School

Graduate from an accredited Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgical Residency program

Evidence of continuing education and self‑development to support license requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible from the American Board of Otolaryngology (ABOto)
