Overview

Academic clinicians with a focus in Hematologic malignancies, specifically lymphoma, are invited to consider the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center. Join our faculty in leading cutting-edge basic and translational research programs. This includes classical and malignant hematology, cellular therapy, cancer biology, cancer prevention, screening and treatment, as well as survivorship and palliative care for patients impacted by solid tumors, benign and malignant hematologic conditions and those requiring stem cell transplant or cellular therapies. We seek applicants for a full-time professor, associate or assistant level professor (CHS) hematologists. An interest in cellular therapy and therapeutic clinical trials, or health services research is desired. Priority areas include genomics, precision medicine and cancer therapeutics. Responsibilities

60-65% direct patient care at UW Hospital and clinic locations (ambulatory, inpatient and consult service attending). Proactively support efforts to improve diversity in clinical trial participants. 35-40% protected time to develop and teach a research or education program and engage in related scholarly activity. Pursue clinical research in the candidate's area of interest and lead dedicated disease-specific research staff. Collaborate with the UW Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC) Clinical Research Office; work with Disease Oriented Teams; pursue and secure independent funding to continue/develop research. Engage with clinical research conducted in the UWCCC and participate in therapeutic interventional trials as appropriate. Qualifications

The Division of Hematology, Oncology, and Palliative Care at UW-Madison includes 68 faculty, 31 Advanced Practice Providers, and 16 Fellows. UW-Madison is located in Madison, WI. The candidate will have access to shared resources and opportunities to collaborate with basic, translational and clinical researchers at the UW Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC), the VA Hospital and campuses across UW-Madison. Administrative duties including e-Consults, committees and community service may be added as appropriate to the interests of the successful candidate. Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $300,000 or above.
