Alstom At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling, and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, more than 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars. Purpose of the Job
This role is expected to lead the ATC system design project, which includes both trackside and train-borne design. On-time delivery for ATC deliverables according to project planning and contract. What are my responsibilities
The Project ATC Leader is responsible for delivering the ATC sub-system solution approved by the customer, respecting the project QCD, during the entire project life cycle. Responsibilities include: Being the direct technical interface with the Customer for ATC Engineering. Providing ATC functional and architecture specification, ATC detailed design and ATC configuration, with corrections during and until customer acceptance. Providing Sig – RS (signaling – rolling stock) interface specification, until mutual agreement from both engineering entities. Contributing to the definition of the functional validation phase of the sub-system (I&V and FIVP). Ensuring that all Domain / Metier activities follow the ATC ADDA process. Supporting PrEM to ensure full transparency of ATC Engineering WP QCD performance (including physical progress) at all times, in line with standard reporting requirements. Following the monthly review cycle with PrEM, highlighting main variances against the Project Engineering QCD commitment, initiating corrective actions and immediately informing the PrEM and RC Projects Engineering Domain / Metier DH where major deviations are detected. Following and participating in Risk and Savings Reviews for his/her scope, providing inputs to PrEM to update the RAMP and SAMP of the Project. If the ATC scope changes (due to either internal or external changes), supporting PrEM in Project Engineering QCD commitment variations with the Project Controller. Communicating with customers and ensuring ATC documentation is approved. What do I need to qualify for this job?
Minimum Qualifications:
BE/BTech in Electronics/Electronics and Communication. 8-12 years of experience in rail signaling/Automation domain. Experience in ATC systems (trackside and/or trainborne) or alternatively similar complex real-time systems (avionics, defence), with a technical lead role. Engineering background (System engineering knowledge desirable: signaling system). System Specification and Requirements Development. Customer Technical Management. QCD management (in particular: Ability to lead transversally engineering teams). Team Management. Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Preferred Qualifications:
Software engineering (master methods and tools to configure generic ATC software). Rolling stock systems (especially the ones that interface with trainborne ATP like brakes, traction, doors). Basic SW development skills and Expert-level knowledge in Excel. You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you! Important to note: As a global business, we’re an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 63 countries we operate in. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace for everyone.
