Newsweek is the global media organization that has earned audience time and trust for more than 90 years. Newsweek reaches 100 million people each month with thought-provoking news, opinion, images, graphics, and video delivered across a dozen print and digital platforms. Headquartered in New York City, Newsweek also publishes international editions in EMEA and Asia. We’re launching a new era of storytelling at Newsweek—and we’re looking for the creators who will define it. From high-impact video podcasts to binge-worthy digital docuseries, Newsweek is building a nimble, next-generation video team that will shape the way our stories are told across platforms. This isn’t just a production team—it’s a creative hub for bold ideas, boundary-pushing formats, and collaborative innovation. If you’re a visual storyteller who thrives in fast-paced environments, thinks like a producer, shoots like a director, and edits like an artist—this is your moment. Join us as we build something fresh, flexible, and fearless. We’re looking for a

Video Producer / Shooter / Editor

who can do it all: pitch compelling ideas, capture stunning footage, and shape stories in the edit. While shooting is the core focus of this role, you’ll also bring foundational skills in editing and producing, and a mindset that’s equal parts creative and solution-driven. You should be comfortable working independently or as part of a tight-knit team, managing projects from pre-production through delivery. The ideal candidate has a strong background in documentaries, news, or production company work—with a keen editorial eye and technical confidence behind the camera. You’ll know how to light a scene, capture clean audio, and shoot with purpose. You understand how to adapt visual storytelling for a range of platforms, from broadcast to social, and you bring a natural sense of pacing, structure, and style to your work. Experience with motion graphics is a welcome bonus. If you’re passionate about visual storytelling and excited to help build something new from the ground up, we want to meet you.
