About The Role The US Communications Specialist will be responsible for supporting the overall US Communications Team’s initiatives across all Business Units [Floorcare, EC, Beauty, and New Ventures] inclusive of Communications, [PR for Brand, product, technologies and corporate/internal inclusive of James Dyson Awards] along with logistical support across Influencer campaigns [contracted, seeding, and events]. Main duties will revolve around ensuring smooth tracking of results, contacts, and invoicing/budget tracking. Responsibilities Public Relations/Influencer: Manage logistics and reporting timelines across influencer and PR agencies day to day, keep teams on track and report results internally and globally. Product stock: manage and track agency stock / send outs to ensure timely receipt of products and send outs for brand inclusive of building out and owning a comprehensive product tracker. Contacts: ensure contacts are up-to-date and scout new opportunities to brand Growth: meet press and influencers in pitch meetings, accompanied with Sr. Manager or Head Of Communications Ambassadors: manage contract logistics including press days, interviews, and first pass of content approval under Sr. Manager and Head Of Communications. Events: be on-the-ground support for events as well as virtual support for global events including booking logistics like transport, flights, hotels, and first draft of KOL agendas Trendspotting: manage 4-6 applicable trends per month for Dyson and pitch to team Growth: manage seeding campaigns and execution, new contacts Internal Comms – In Partnership With Head Of Communications Build and maintain calendars for internal moments, employee communication and KOL visits in Dyson offices, in partnership with Head Of Communications and laddering up to Global Internal Communications. Draft executive and internal communications in partnership Head Of Communications. Liaise directly with leadership EAs across company to ensure smooth scheduling of internal events and key messaging. Manage Café Briefing calls, deck completion, liaising with leadership to complete presentation flow. Manage logistics for internal product launch events and presentations. Manage and attend high-priority meetings in Chicago for leadership/global KOL attendees. About You 2+ years of experience in PR or Communications. Experience in managing projects from start to finish. Internal communications, social media, and/or influencer relations experience is a bonus. Strong written and oral communication skills; able to write concise, engaging, and informative copy. Analytical skills; identifies and analyzes key trends, issues, problems and solutions. Teamwork and collaboration; able to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of people. Creativity: Demonstrates imagination, creativity and divergent thinking and encourages it in others. Project management, organizational, and time management skills; ability to balance multiple projects, campaigns, and other duties – while making deadlines – is essential. Proactive and a doer; work autonomously and take the initiative to identify work that needs to be done. Storytelling; ability to tell rich, engaging stories and have a knack for identifying what will resonate with specific people and audiences. Flexibility; must be comfortable changing courses quickly and efficiently to achieve desired outcomes. Passion; have a passion for and deep understanding/appreciation of media, technology, beauty and health.
