Executive Writer and Content Strategy Thought Leadership Manager

Nemours is seeking an Executive Writer and Content Strategy Thought Leadership Manager to join the Nemours Children’s Health team in Jacksonville, FL or Wilmington, DE. The vision is to create the healthiest generations of children through Whole Child Health. Intertwined with our brand position, Well Beyond Medicine, our strategy re-imagines children’s health to consider both the medical and non-medical factors that drive health. In this newly created role, the individual will report to the Vice President, Reputation and Communications. The role includes executive communications with superb writing skills, digital marketing and/or broadcast journalism. The person will serve as a senior writer across audiences on behalf of Nemours Children’s enterprise and regional executives and will devise a content strategy dedicated to a thought leadership audience. They will lead messaging and copy development to position Nemours Children’s as a leader and convener in creating the healthiest generations of children. They will oversee the strategic direction, development and execution of priority content initiatives designed to educate, inspire and ignite action to advance the organization’s mission and goals. The role also includes leadership of the Well Beyond Medicine podcast, including content curation, guest outreach, promotion, and an underwriting monetization strategy; this includes budget oversight. Essential Functions

Executive Writing: Translate big ideas into messaging and capture an executive’s voice and tone across intended audiences. Employ smart brevity that inspires action across internal and external communications channels. Strategic Implementation: Develop an enterprise-wide content strategy targeting Nemours Children’s thought leadership audiences, considering personas, channel optimization, and an integrated editorial calendar that aligns parties across the organization. Enterprise Collaboration: Partner with key internal stakeholders such as the Office of the President, National Office on Policy and Practice, External Affairs, Community Engagement, and colleagues across Marketing and Communications to curate content and leverage external relationships. Well Beyond Medicine podcast: In partnership with the WBM podcast host and external agency, serve as the internal strategic advisor and team lead for content curation and promotion of the podcast with goals of securing high-profile guests, growing listenership, and developing a monetization strategy; manage guest outreach, conferences, marketing, website, e-newsletter, social media, and underwriting efforts; budget oversight. Content Development and Management: Oversee the curation, creation and management of content across thought leadership platforms. Align messaging with content and strategies developed by the office of the president on behalf of the CEO. Translate complex concepts into compelling visuals and copy that drive engagement. Branding and Reputation Management: Ensure content aligns with Nemours Children’s Health’s brand identity and messaging; maintain a consistent brand voice across all content channels. Analytics and Performance: Use data and analytics tools to measure effectiveness and impact of content; monitor KPIs, analyze trends and make data-driven decisions to optimize content strategies and engagement. Industry Trends and Innovation: Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies and best practices in content creation, digital media and healthcare communications; identify opportunities for innovation and propose new approaches to enhance audience engagement. Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or Digital Marketing required. 7 years of experience in corporate communications and digital marketing or related field, ideally including podcast production. About Us
