Salary Range: $59,000 - $63,000 DOE The successful candidate will be a marketing-minded media creator who engages audiences through creative storytelling and strategic organic social content. They will work collaboratively across the Cronkite School and with university partners to promote the school’s community, achievements and brand. This role serves as the school’s lead social media storyteller, community manager and multimedia creator. Responsibilities include proactive storytelling, audience engagement, and monitoring performance metrics to inform strategy. Responsibilities
Create written, visual and multimedia content for the school’s social and digital platforms on deadline and in compliance with ASU Brand standards and AP Style. Cover school and university events live, producing fast-turnaround photo, video and graphics content. Plan, create and schedule social media content according to editorial priorities and calendars. Act as the school’s community manager, engaging audiences across channels. Create and edit visual media using the Adobe Creative Suite and related tools. Measure and report on digital content performance using native analytics and third-party tools. Coordinate visual media with team members and stakeholders. Continually develop as a storyteller and pursue professional development opportunities. Collaborate with central university communications teams as needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Desired Qualifications: Strong portfolio of organic social and multimedia content and campaigns. Experience using organic social to advance strategic goals, community management, and engagement. Strong writing and editing skills with AP Style. Strong visual media production skills and proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud. Experience with professional camera equipment for photo and video production. Experience creating content for digital and social campaigns in a professional setting. Experience managing content calendars and social planning tools (e.g. Hootsuite). Experience using analytics across platforms (e.g. Meta, GA4) and tools to measure performance and pivot strategy. Experience with project management tools (e.g. Asana, Monday.com, Basecamp). Experience creating content at live events and managing shoots. Experience contributing to higher education admissions goals. Ability to work in person at the Cronkite School’s Downtown Phoenix Campus. Ability to stand for varying lengths of time and lift up to 25 pounds. Location & Travel
