Overview
The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University—one of the nation’s premier professional journalism and communications programs—seeks a recruitment coordinator. Working as part of a dedicated student recruitment team, the coordinator engages and recruits prospective undergraduate students (first-year and transfer), advancing enrollment goals and shaping the next generation of media leaders. The coordinator helps drive Cronkite School enrollment by implementing, ideating and measuring recruitment strategies. The successful candidate easily understands and harnesses data to activate new recruitment approaches and eagerly builds relationships with prospective students and the adults (high school teachers, administrators and families) who support them. The coordinator often travels throughout Arizona to high schools and community colleges to build relationships with prospective students and school officials; they also travel at least four times a year to youth media conventions throughout the country, representing and recruiting for the Cronkite School. As the Cronkite School grows its student community, we seek a passionate, energetic leader with an entrepreneurial spirit to drive expansion. Details

Recruitment Coordinator Responsibilities
Coordinates and implements strategies from the college’s recruitment plan to meet or exceed college and university enrollment goals. Develops and presents engaging and informative presentations and workshops that explain aspects of media and college programs to students from diverse backgrounds. Plans, coordinates and leads group visits from schools to the Cronkite building, coordinating with events, IT and staff/faculty to create successful recruitment experiences. Tracks and analyzes leads, interactions, visits and other touchpoints using SalesForce and ASU information systems. Answers questions in a timely manner about the Cronkite School’s programs, admission requirements and the general college-going process. Assists with or conducts frequent recruitment presentations, visits and events, including large live and virtual audiences. Executes campaigns by phone or other methods to meet university enrollment goals. Maintains a flexible work schedule, including occasional early mornings, evenings or weekends. Leads a team of student ambassadors who support recruitment efforts and goals. Serves as the point of contact with high schools and community colleges, traveling statewide and to major media conferences nationally. Attends meetings and training sessions designated by supervisor; performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Desired Qualifications
Experience in student recruitment or admissions for a higher education institution with measurable success Knowledge of Phoenix-area schools, CTE programs and youth activities Knowledge of educational and career opportunities in media, communications, journalism and/or PR Experience with CRM systems (like SalesForce and PeopleSoft) and project management tools (like Calendly and Asana) Effective written communication Public speaking, tour hosting, tabling or similar presentations Ability to travel nationally and locally Ability to drive and operate an ASU vehicle (valid driver’s license; MVR check) Ability to converse in English and Spanish Environment involves office setting and ability to adapt to changing priorities Ability to use standard office equipment and technology peripherals Application Instructions
