The focus of the Birmingham, AL based Territory Manager, Interventional Urology is to establish, build, and maintain professional relationships with KOLs and effectively communicate the UroLift and Barrigel value propositions within Teleflex’s Interventional Urology portfolio. This position partners with cross-functional teams to communicate current market conditions and develop accounts to adopt UroLift and Barrigel products. This role requires thorough knowledge of the Urology field, the ability to launch disruptive technologies, and a strong motivation to exceed revenue versus sales plan. Principal Responsibilities
Meet or exceed quarterly sales quotas for the defined area for both UroLift and Barrigel products. Develop and maintain monthly and quarterly territory plans outlining sales objectives and areas of opportunity. Provide accurate monthly forecasts. Effectively communicate the value propositions to customers, highlighting product benefits and advantages. Identify, train, and develop accounts to integrate both the UroLift system and Barrigel products into their urology practices, aiming for high account adoption. Stay abreast of current market conditions and recommend enhancements to the commercial process. Collaborate with the Professional Education teams to deliver clinical training support to physicians, facilitating rapid clinical independence. Cultivate and nurture relationships with key customers and KOLs within the region. Collaborate with Regional Business Managers, Sales teams, and Marketing teams for UroLift and Barrigel to prioritize customers for strategic corporate relationships. Work with Customer Service teams to exceed customer expectations. Provide assistance in addressing product complaints and safety issues for UroLift and Barrigel products. Adhere to organizational goals, policies, procedures, GMPs, and FDA regulations applicable to both product lines. Establish and maintain necessary credentials to work in hospitals and medical facilities as required. Education / Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline, or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the medical device industry with a strong track record of success. Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
Operating room experience is essential. Demonstrated ability to exceed revenue targets consistently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities. Proficient in negotiation and adept at adapting to changing work priorities. Strong analytical capabilities to refine business plans and sales techniques effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Willingness to travel approximately 40%–60% of the time, with a valid driver’s license and good driving record. Ability to manage overnight travel as required. Note:
