The City of Tolleson is seeking a dynamic and bilingual Community Relations Coordinator to support programs such as TAASA (Tolleson Alliance Against Substance Abuse) and other council initiatives. Under the Deputy City Manager / Chief Government Affairs Officer, the coordinator will plan, develop, and execute community engagement efforts that are culturally relevant and accessible through digital and in-person outreach. Responsibilities include planning events, coordinating partnerships with local organizations, schools, and residents, and creating bilingual marketing and communication materials. The role includes creating and scheduling social media content, writing and distributing the City newsletter, facilitating public awareness campaigns, and representing the City at events and forums. The ideal candidate demonstrates strategic thinking, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
Plan and manage community events and outreach activities. Develop bilingual marketing and communication materials. Coordinate partnerships with local organizations, schools, and residents. Create and schedule social media content and write/distribute the City newsletter. Coordinate public awareness campaigns and represent the City at events and community forums. Support council initiatives with strategic outreach and engagement. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in public administration, communications, or related field and two years of directly related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish required. Strong interpersonal, written communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in AI, digital communication platforms, and social media management. Job Information
