10 months (September to June) Salary Range:
$26,641 - $36,057 Job Goal:
The paraprofessional is responsible for providing educational instruction to assigned students in a structured classroom environment, including core content academic areas, daily living skills, and social skills. The role includes training to implement applied behavior analysis principles under the guidance of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA). Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 48 college credits or passing score on Paraprofessional Praxis Exam. Completion of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) program upon appointment. Successful completion of criminal background check and sexual misconduct/child abuse disclosure. Proof of US citizenship or legal resident status. Responsibilities: Collaborate with behavior analyst, teachers, and paraprofessionals to develop and implement educational and behavioral plans. Adapt classroom activities and materials to support objectives. Record data on academic progress and behavior. Maintain student adaptive equipment and communication devices. Assist students with daily living activities. Recognize signs of frustration, anxiety, and anger to implement strategies and teach alternative behaviors. Assist in managing aggressive behavior following crisis procedures. Participate in professional development and trainings related to working with autistic students. Note:
