Seasonal Merchandise Associate at The TJX Companies, Inc. At TJX Companies, you’ll join a global team that values diversity, collaboration, and development. We operate across our Home Offices, Distribution Centers, and Retail Stores including TJ Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Homesense, Sierra, Winners, and TK Maxx. This role is part of a seasonal program and contributes to a positive customer experience and store operations when needed across store areas. Responsibilities
Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers and following customer experience principles. Adhere to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards; maintain a clean and organized store environment. May be cross-trained to support multiple areas of the store to meet business needs. Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers. Support a positive store culture with honesty, integrity, and respect. Accurately ring customer purchases/returns and count change back according to procedures. Promote credit and loyalty programs. Uphold merchandising philosophy and follow procedures and standards. Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor per company procedures. Support store recovery and maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and store. Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback. Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures; participate in safety and create a safe environment. Support shrink reduction initiatives; participate in safety awareness. Perform other duties as assigned. Who We’re Looking For
Excellent customer service skills. Flexible availability to support business needs. Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes or unexpected situations. Ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation. Works well with peers and supervisors. Retail customer experience is preferred. Compensation and Benefits
Starting pay range: $13.00 to $13.50 per hour (actual starting pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience). Benefits include associate discount, EAP, 401(k) Associate contributions, and other program-specific offerings.
