The
Territory Manager - Bronx, NY
is responsible for understanding and identifying customer needs, supporting pull-through activities relative to the customer strategy and market access, delivering sales results, and ensuring Radius Health is viewed as a valued partner to healthcare professionals and their patients. Responsibilities
Develop and drive outstanding sales performance that ensures sales forecasts are met or exceeded. Effectively use assigned budgets to drive therapeutic and territory expectations. Customize discussions and client interactions based on customer needs in a compliant and ethical manner. Maintain current understanding of local market, practice structures, business models, and key influencers. Share information with relevant Radius stakeholders and work with customers at accounts to understand practice structure, business model, key influencers, network structure, customer needs, and identify opportunities. Provide input into resource allocation decisions across customers/region and identify programs/resources appropriate for each customer, practice, or system. Regularly use analytical tools to understand and evaluate the business and determine how to accomplish sales objectives, applying resources such as HCP educational programs and samples ethically. Collaborate with leadership to develop a local business plan that achieves KPI goals and delivers on sales objectives; capitalize on formulary approvals and other opportunities through strategic planning. Coordinate selling efforts with other Radius Health personnel and ensure timely administrative management of work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, communications, sample management, and expense reporting. Experience and Qualifications
Must have strong self-motivation/initiative, excellent decision-making judgment, strong teaming/collaboration skills, and the ability to learn and adapt to new environments. 5+ years of sales experience in orthopedics, injectable pharmaceuticals, biologics, buy-and-bill, or medical devices preferred. Experience calling on hospitals, endocrinologists and rheumatologists preferred. Experience in a science or healthcare environment developing customer relationships. Understanding of account-based selling, osteoporosis, biologic and injectable markets is a plus. Experience working with Specialty Pharmacies, Distribution Hubs, and Managed Care providers. Ability to analyze data/metrics to assess progress against objectives and identify opportunities. Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information effectively. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and a valid driver's license with a safe driving record; overnight travel may be required. Work Environment
The work is performed in a remote office environment with occasional in-person office work and frequent in-person customer interactions. Air, vehicle, and overnight travel is frequently required.
