Our bank client is seeking a Bank Controller based in the greater St. James, MO area. The successful candidate will maintain the integrity of the bank's accounting operations, including accurate reporting, record-keeping, controls, budgets, and compliance. Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen are essential. This role reports directly to the CFO and requires high professional capabilities. Compensation & Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary of up to $100K, a full benefits package, and potential bonuses.

(This is not a remote position) Responsibilities

Oversee daily general ledger analysis, reporting, and reconciliations. Produce periodic financial reports for internal monitoring. Maintain accounting records, controls, and budgets to mitigate risk and ensure accuracy. Ensure compliance with GAAP and reporting standards. Forecast financial performance and explain deviations. Prepare and file regulatory and financial reports timely. Complete interest rate risk analysis and reporting. Manage month, quarter, and year-end closes. Support annual FDIC and other audits. Oversee payroll, accounts payable, and investments. Manage financial activities of the Holding Company, including reports and tax filings. Supervise finance staff as assigned. Lead finance-related projects as directed by CFO and President. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Collaborate with departments to improve system procedures. Who Are You?

Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Five+ years of comprehensive accounting experience, including at least two managing general ledger and financial reporting. Banking experience preferred. Expertise in financial control and general ledger. Knowledge of banking laws and regulations preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office, and accounting software; familiarity with banking core systems like Fiserv, Prologue preferred. Experience with interest rate risk and budgeting tools. Strong decision-making, judgment, and multitasking skills. Ability to analyze and resolve problems efficiently. Solid understanding of accounting principles, laws, and standards.
