Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting employment opportunity for a Practice Group Attorney in the Labor & Employment Practice of our Phoenix office. This position is for an attorney
who is seeking
more flexibility
within BigLaw, including a reduced billable hour expectation (as low as 1200 per year) and an increased opportunity to work remotely.
The position is not a shareholder track position. Qualified candidates will have strong
interpersonal skills, writing and analytical ability, keen attention
to detail, and the desire and initiative to take ownership. Significant litigation experience is a plus (even if not employment litigation), including day-to-day responsibility on cases. Our practice includes employment
class actions (including trade secret and restrictive covenant cases). This position is a litigation position; it is not a consulting or counseling position. The right person will want trial experience (or have it already) and be willing to take depositions, cover hearings, interview witnesses, handle written discovery, and write persuasive briefs. The right candidate will also have demonstrable substantive knowledge of basic employment concepts under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, and similar federal and state employment laws.
The position offers the candidate the opportunity to assume responsibility but
with
a reduced case load . The candidate must have strong academic credentials and references and be a member of the Arizona State Bar or willing to quickly become one. **Greenberg Traurig is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
