Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualifications but believe they possess the equivalent must submit an Equivalency Application Form including full supporting documentation and mail to the Human Resources Department (this is separate from the online application). All non-U.S. transcripts must be evaluated by an evaluation and translation service in order to be reviewed for equivalency. The Equivalency Application Form may be downloaded from our website, www.peralta.edu, in the Human Resources area. Note: Denial by the Equivalency Committee is final. If applying for an additional position in the same discipline, you may submit an Equivalency Application Form again with additional evidence by the application deadline date. Application Procedures

Required documents will include:

Current resume of experience, formal education/training and qualifications. Copies of supporting credentials, if applicable. Copies of transcripts from fully accredited college or university institutions. This means we do not need official copies. Please upload transcripts to your application.

Notes: Copies of diplomas will not substitute for transcripts. Only conferred transcripts are needed unless otherwise requested. A minimum of a Master’s degree must be conferred when the application is submitted. If your Ph.D is not yet complete, you must also submit your conferred Master’s transcript. All transcripts must include a confer date. All non-U.S. transcripts must include a certified evaluation/translation document certifying equivalence to a U.S. degree. Non-U.S. transcripts without a certified evaluation document will be disqualified. Applications and attachments (resume, cover letter, copies of transcripts, letters of recommendations, etc.) will ONLY be accepted through the online process. We do not accept mailed or faxed applications or attachments. Letters of Recommendation are optional and should be scanned and uploaded if you have them. Travel expenses for the interview and selection process will be borne by the candidates. Appointment to the position is conditional upon the approval of the Chancellor. Conditions of Employment

The Peralta Community College District invites applications for its Temporary, Part-Time Faculty pool in the following discipline: PHOTOGRAPHY Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university AND two (2) years of experience in photography; OR Possession of an Associate Degree from an accredited college or university AND six (6) years of experience in photography; OR May submit a fully satisfied lifetime California Community College Instructor Credential authorizing service to teach courses in Mathematics. This credential will not satisfy the requirements for tenure. Note: California credentials were no longer issued after July 1, 1990. OR equivalency qualifications. Candidates who claim equivalency must provide conclusive evidence as required by the District Equivalency Application Form. AND Applicant must have demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds of staff, faculty, and students. Desirable Qualifications
