Employees must satisfy all pre-employment requirements to work for the District, including: TB Examination: Evidence of being free of tuberculosis within the past 60 days. Job Title: Temporary, Part-Time Instructor (Japanese) Time Base: Temporary, as Needed Compensation: $74.53 - $124.41/hour; salary placement based on education, experience, and the district’s agreement with the Peralta Federation of Teachers. Job Description Summary: Duties & Responsibilities: The Peralta Community College District invites applications for our Temporary, Part-Time Faculty pool in the following disciplines:
JAPANESE Minimum Qualifications Possession of a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Japanese; OR Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Japanese; AND possession of a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in another language or linguistics; OR Fully satisfied lifetime California Community College Instructor Credential authorizing service to teach courses in Japanese (credentials issued before 1990); OR The equivalent qualifications. Additional notes: Applicants claiming equivalency must provide conclusive evidence. The minimum qualifications for disciplines are outlined in the official MQ Handbook linked in the posting. Desirable Qualifications Other Requirements For non-Master’s degree disciplines, the District requires four years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree and six years with an Associate’s degree.
