In partnership with Banner University Medical Center, we are committed to improving the health of patients with cancer and inflammatory diseases, particularly as related to the diverse ethnic population of the Southwestern United States. Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and sustain research in the department in collaboration with departmental, UACC, and medical campus initiatives. Engage with the clinical units and Banner University Medical Group physicians to advance the translational aspects of their research program. Participate in the education of medical students as well as pathology residents and fellows. Provide clinical inpatient/outpatient services with a direct impact on patient care. Participate in the clinical practice of the department based on area of expertise. Contribute to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge and experience related to area of specialty. Teaching skills. Grant preparation and management skills. Minimum Qualifications
PhD with or without clinical certification, or MD, DO, MD/PhD, or DO/PhD degree. Experience and funding history in basic and translational science. Board Certification in Pathology (appropriate subspecialties). Obtain Arizona Medical License by hire date. Meet University of Arizona criteria for appointment to a tenure or tenure eligible faculty position. Preferred Qualifications
Extramural funding. Experience in cancer research, particularly translational studies or biobanking. Track record of unique subspecialty. Experience in programmatic development. Clinical expertise as applicable. Rank & Tenure
