Summary/Responsibilities of this position: A Sales Lead will utilize advanced skills specific to their area of specialization, potentially supervising staff. Responsibilities include ordering products to maximize sales, demonstrating culinary expertise, working independently from detailed instructions, applying guidelines and procedures, addressing problems promptly, and making sound decisions daily. The role requires specific product knowledge depending on the department. Responsibilities include: Assist in ordering products May assist in writing weekly department schedules Prioritize high-importance activities Set clear expectations for team members Delegate responsibilities appropriately Provide excellent customer service Maintain operational standards Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations regarding product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation Manage shrink, safety, and inventory control Assist in merchandising efforts to maximize sales Use suggestive selling techniques to increase sales Experience and Education (Preferred):
Typically 5-8 years of experience; knowledge of department-specific products, food preparation, and equipment; extensive knowledge of specialty foods; strong customer service skills; passion for food; Materials Handling Equipment certification; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and in extreme temperatures; previous retail or restaurant experience. Physical and Other Requirements:
Ability to lift and manage over 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs.
