acoustic consultancy
is seeking an
Experienced Acoustic Consultant
to join its growing team in the South East. With a strong track record across
building and environmental acoustics , this is an excellent opportunity for a consultant with 3-6 years’ experience to take the next step in their career and contribute to a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects. About the Role You’ll play a key role in delivering technical acoustic consultancy across a range of sectors, including
commercial ,
residential ,
education , and
infrastructure . Working as part of a collaborative, supportive team, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your expertise further, manage projects, and build strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities
Undertake
building acoustics
design and assessments (sound insulation, room acoustics, building services noise).
Deliver
environmental noise assessments
in line with planning and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and review
technical reports
and noise impact assessments.
Conduct
noise and vibration monitoring
and data analysis.
Liaise with clients, design teams, and local authorities to provide practical and innovative solutions.
Support junior colleagues and contribute to project delivery and business development.
About You
3-6 years’ experience
in building and/or environmental acoustics.
Strong understanding of relevant
standards and guidance
(BS4142, BS8233, ProPG, WHO, etc.).
Experience with
noise modelling software
(e.g. SoundPLAN, CadnaA) desirable.
Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Degree in
Acoustics ,
Physics ,
Environmental Science , or a related discipline.
IOA membership
(MIOA or working towards) preferred.
Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to manage multiple projects effectively.
