We are seeking an expert
Senior SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) Consultant
to join our dedicated team based in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with deep experience in leading SAP SD implementations and rollouts, particularly with
sales order management
and the
SAP Allocation Run (ARun)
process. You'll act as a trusted advisor to our customers, responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting robust SAP SD solutions. This role requires the candidate to be
open to travel
for critical project phases like rollouts and go-lives. Key Responsibilities Client Collaboration:
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team.
Work closely with the customer
to lead workshops, gather complex requirements, and translate them into effective system solutions.
Solution Design & Implementation/Rollout:
Lead end-to-end SAP SD module
implementations and rollouts , from blueprinting to go-live. Configure all aspects of the SD module, including master data, pricing, sales order processing, delivery, and billing.
Functional Specifications: Author high-quality, detailed functional specifications (FS)
for all WRICEF (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) objects, ensuring absolute clarity for the development team.
Troubleshooting & Debugging:
Perform
root cause analysis
for complex production issues. Utilize your
debugging skills
to efficiently
identify and resolve system defects , ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Production Support:
Lead post-go-live
support activities , providing timely and effective resolution for production incidents and change requests to ensure business continuity and user satisfaction. Allocation Expertise:
Serve as the subject matter expert for
SAP Allocation Run (ARun) , designing and implementing sophisticated allocation strategies to manage supply and demand.
Integration & Testing:
Ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules (MM, FICO, PP) and lead comprehensive testing cycles, from unit testing to supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Required Skills & Qualifications Experience:
A minimum of
8-10 years
of hands-on experience as an SAP SD functional consultant.
Project Experience:
Proven track record with at least
two full-cycle SAP SD implementations or rollouts
in a lead capacity.
Travel Readiness:
Willingness and ability to
travel to client sites
(domestically and/or internationally) as required for project rollouts and go-live activities.
Core SD Knowledge:
Deep, functional mastery of the
Order-to-Cash (O2C)
process.
Mandatory Specialized Skills:
Demonstrable, in-depth experience with
SAP Allocation Run (ARun)
and complex sales order management scenarios.
Technical Acumen:
Expertise in writing comprehensive and clear functional specifications (FS) .
Strong ability to
debug and troubleshoot
complex system issues independently.
Proficiency with IDocs and interfaces.
Client-Facing Skills:Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills , with a proven ability to work closely with customers and manage their expectations effectively.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's/Master degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with
SAP S/4HANA Sales .
SAP Certified Application Associate - Sales and Distribution.
Experience in the Retail, Apparel and Footwear (AFS), or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industries.
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum project management methodologies.
