Accountant
GRUBBRR is seeking an experienced Accountant to oversee general accounting operations. This role involves managing all aspects of daily accounting activities, including accounts receivable and payable, reconciling accounts and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, and assisting with month-end closing procedures. The ideal candidate should have excellent analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts in our fast-paced FinTech startup.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for preparing and processing monthly billing to customers and collaborating with Customer Support to resolve billing issues or customer concerns. Update and maintain revenue tracking reports; prepare monthly and annual recurring revenue reports. Handle daily accounting functions such as invoicing, vendor payments, expense reimbursements, and ACH payments. Reconcile inventory monthly and update inventory tracking reports. Record monthly reconciliations of revenues, expenses, and intercompany activities. Prepare monthly commission reports for sales representatives based on compensation plans and performance. Participate in the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, special reports, and investigating unusual items. Prepare ad hoc reports and participate in special projects. Manage and reconcile income and expenditure accounts, and bank and credit card statements. Assist in preparing financial statements and compliance reports quarterly and annually. Participate in annual audits by providing account information and responding to auditors’ inquiries. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience with SaaS Revenue Recognition Rules and SaaS industry experience. Disciplined in following processes but creative in proposing scalable solutions. Thorough understanding of accounting principles and regulatory reporting requirements. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail. Strong collaboration and communication skills. 5-7 years of professional accounting experience. Experience with QuickBooks / NetSuite preferred. About GRUBBRR:
