Mathematics teacher
for the current school year who is passionate about the relevance of math in life and helping students become mathematically literate as they learn and apply concepts.
Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience. Responsibilities include:
Teaches all levels of high school mathematics ranging from Algebra I to Geometry to Pre Calculus. Demonstrates familiarity with iPad applications and has a willingness to work with such technology. Demonstrates familiarity with MS Office, online gradebooks, and other online educational applications; should have a willingness to work with such technology. Uses varied teaching methodologies and has the ability to explain mathematical concepts in different ways using examples and analogies; or has a willingness to continue to learn in their teaching profession. Demonstrates a desire to help form high school students towards a holistic formation of personhood. Qualifications:
Years of Experience: prefer at least 1. FDOE Certification in Mathematics 6-12 preferred; if not certified, candidate should be willing to complete all requirements for Professional Certification within three years of employment as per requirements of their Temporary Certificate. Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Good computer literacy, including ability to navigate online applications and search engines effectively. Proficient with iPad applications, creating multimedia presentations, and using Clear Touch Screen blackboards, electronic gradebooks, and classroom platforms. Good spelling and grammar required. Effective oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice. Supportive of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in a Roman Catholic environment preferred. Knowledge of basic tenets of the Catholic Church.
