The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), Wisconsin’s major public urban research university, provides a comprehensive liberal arts and professional education at the undergraduate and graduate levels and is one of only two doctoral-granting campuses in the Universities of Wisconsin system. The Department of Social Work at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is seeking to fill one full-time tenured or tenure-track, open rank faculty position. Duties include advancing a robust program of research while maintaining a strong commitment to teaching and mentorship along with service to the department, university, profession, and community. The typical teaching load is 4 courses per year (2 courses per semester).The anticipated start date for the 9-month annual appointment is August 24Minimum Qualifications:* Qualified applicants must hold a PhD in social work or a related field. Applicants who are ABD will be considered if completion of the degree is imminent.Preferred Qualifications:* Preference will be given to applicants who have an MSW degree and a demonstrated ability to produce significant research, successfully teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and collaborate across disciplines and with community partners.* The position is open to any area of specialization, although applicants with a mental health focus are strongly encouraged to apply.**EEO Statement**
