RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching & Learning
Undertake teaching and related duties such as designing, preparing, and developing teaching materials; conducting classes, tutorials, and practicals; consulting with students; invigilation; marking; and assessment. Participate and contribute to high-quality programme and curriculum development. Plan and implement teaching strategies to optimise student learning and motivation. Support research project work and scholarship of postgraduate students. Establish and maintain high standards of teaching and effective learning to meet the University’s expectations. Research
Participate in scholarly activities, including research, conference presentations, journal publications, and community work. Support efforts to secure research grants as a co-researcher. Achieve research outcome targets for the Associate Professor level. Administration and Other Activities
Contribute to administrative responsibilities such as attending departmental meetings, participating in committees and working groups. Engage in professional development activities. Establish linkages with external organisations and professional bodies in academic matters. REQUIREMENTS
Doctoral degree or equivalent from a recognised university in Artificial Intelligence or Computer Science related fields. At least five (5) years of teaching or industry experience. Strong publication record with at least 10 publications in reputable journals (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last 5 years. Secured research grants as a Principal Investigator totaling RM150,000 or more. Supervised at least 2 PhD (by Research) students. Minimum Scopus h-index of 8. At least 1 Intellectual Property (IP) in patents, copyrights, or trademarks. Experience in higher education, a track record of teaching, curriculum development, coaching, mentoring, and high-quality presentation skills are required. Ability to establish linkages with external organisations and professional bodies both locally and internationally is also essential.
