Principal Subject Matter Expert - Breaching Operations

to provide research support administration services for our government customer in Ft. Belvoir, VA. DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the SGM and Deputy for Breaching as the Breaching SME working in collaboration with government partners, academic laboratories, and private industry to develop new tools and technology in support of the SOF explosive and mechanical breaching community. Assist in the preparation and development of new requirements documentation to include Initial Capabilities Documents (ICD), Capabilities Development Documents (CDD), SPECAT messages, Basis of Issue Plans (BOIP), Test Plans, and update Project Folders. Tasks include: provide advice and training on current advanced drilling techniques/technology applications; explosive planning factors; charge preparation; charge emplacement; and design, fabricate, and test commercial and industrial blasting products. Coordinates with the Project Manager and/or Quality Assurance Manager to ensure adequate design specifications and associated documentation and problem resolution for problem reports. REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

Must have a Bachelors degree. Masters degree preferred. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Must have at least 16 years experience. Must have a background in heavy and medium explosive and mechanical breaching operations (particularly SOF) with a knowledge of breaching and entry techniques, tactics, & procedures. Must have subject matter expertise in Breaching Operations. REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE
