Overview
The Penn State Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing seeks applicants for two non-tenure line teaching positions in the undergraduate program at our University Park location. The college is one of the most comprehensive colleges of nursing in public universities, with over 2,100 undergraduate students and approximately 200 graduate students. The footprint is world-wide, with faculty creating experiences for students around the globe. The positions are full-time, 36-week appointments funded for one year from the date of hire with excellent potential for renewal. Full benefits are included. Anticipated start date is as early as August 2025. Responsibilities
Teach both fall and spring semesters, with primary responsibilities in coordination and instruction of medical-surgical nursing courses, including classroom and clinical teaching. Advise students, participate in committees, and engage in other service and scholarly activities as appropriate. Qualifications
At least one graduate degree in nursing. Doctorate level credentials (e.g., DNP, PhD) preferred; hired at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor or higher depending on credentials. Applicants with a master’s degree in Nursing will be hired as Instructor. Must hold a valid nursing license; eligible for RN licensure in Pennsylvania; evidence of professional growth, scholarship, and mastery of subject matter. Compensation and Terms
